STAND WITH SYDNEY
It has been announced recently that Valvoline Raceway in Sydney will be compulsorily acquired by the NSW Government and turned into a marshalling yard for the new Metro train line. With a history in the city dating back to 1926, for the first time in over 90 years the sport faces an uncertain future at one of our ancestral homes.
The Parramatta venue opened in 1977, and for the last 23 years has been the sole car-focused speedway in the largest city in Oceania. Speedway Australia stands with Sydney Speedway as it comes to terms with the news and attempts to chart a path forward into the future.
A public rally will be held at the track at 6pm on Tuesday (all welcome) and if you would like to petition the NSW Government you can sign up via this link
