The COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart opened this week, providing up to $2,000 to assist not-for-profit local and regional sport and active recreation organisations re-establish their operations in a COVID-safe environment.

With the vast majority of our venues being not-for-profit, this is yet another perfect opportunity to obtain funding towards the purchase eligible small equipment items or training for volunteers.

Eligible equipment in this program includes everything from safety items for volunteers, fire extinguishers and flag sets, laptop computers for timing, right through to expenses incurred by clubs to undertake training – such as the upcoming National Forum weekend.

More information can be found at http://www.qld.gov.au/.../funding/active-clubs-kickstart

If there’s something you feel may benefit the volunteers at your venue, be sure to contact Sport Development Officer, Adam Brook.
