Beginning in 2012, Speedway Australia offers licence applicants the choice of submitting a Speedway Australia medical examination, or a CAMS medical examination (not required for officials or mechanics).
All applicants (including officials and mechanics) must submit a health statement.
For drivers UNDER 40 years of age, a medical examination is required:
- Every 2 years if submitting a Speedway Australia Medical, or
- Every 5 years if submitting a CAMS Medical
For drivers 40 years of age and over, a medical examination is required annually.
In all cases, the medical examination must be completed no more than 3 months prior to the date of application.
Please note, SCCA and Wingless Sprint drivers are required to supply a new medical examination every year regardless of age, as per the SCCA rule book.
